Understand Your Rights and Gain Control of Your Life

In most workers compensation cases, no lawsuit is required and you never have to go to court. When a worker is injured on the job, the injury is reported to the employer, the employer reports the injury to their workers compensation insurance carrier and the correct benefits are paid in full. In a normal case no settlement is needed since the benefits are paid and you never need to "settle" for anything. (Do not confuse settlement with a Permanent Partial Disability Agreement which is not a settlement.) Unfortunately, sometimes insurance companies do not pay the benefits correctly, or they try to settle a case in order to save money. In some situations they deny payment entirely. If an insurance company tries to pull that on you, you need to take action.
